About

Andorra Kids’ Film Festival is a film, music and  contemporary arts festival, a space for intergenerational relationships where kids, young and old, are drawn together by a common desire to share culture and new experiences.

Under the slogan ‘The children are the stars’, Andorra Kids’ Film Festival is a cultural, festive and pedagogical event. Considering art as a formative tool, Andorra Kids’ Film Festival also offers film sessions and other cultural activities.

Its heterogeneous programming includes high quality short films and feature films, projected – and often prized – at the main international film festivals and not usually screened in commercial theatres.

The forthcoming Andorra Kids’ Film Festival, the fourth to be held, presents:

  •       Screenings for school audiences (aged 2 to 12) organised according to age  groups. The schools that participate in the festival will be given a pedagogical portfolio on the audiovisual contents they have viewed for use in the classroom.
  •       A wide range of weekend activities for family audiences. From the first Andorra Kids’ Film Festival, the event has asserted itself as a space for intergenerational relationships in which children and adults alike share new cultural experiences.

Come and discover a diverse and plural cinema in an unrivalled setting: Andorra, the country of the Pyrenees!

Goals

  • Bringing cinema, as a pedagogical tool, to schools.

  • Offering a leisure option that may be enjoyed by all members of the family.

  • Training spectators of the future by nurturing their critical spirit.

  • Promoting multiculturalism by screening films that reflect different ways of understanding and interpreting the world.

  • Stimulating values like that of the imagination, the culture of sacrifice, diversity, integration, respect for the environment, self-esteem, etc.
